Horsefood Yearling/Mare Pellets are specially developed to meet the nutritional needs of both young horses up to 2.5 years old and pregnant and lactating mares. These pellets support the healthy growth and development of the foal and contribute to the mare's good condition during pregnancy and lactation.
The pellets contain a balanced composition of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, tailored to the increased need for energy and protein. Thanks to the addition of copper and zinc chelate – organically bound minerals – absorption into the blood is optimal, contributing to strong bone development, healthy growth, and a well-functioning immune system.
Feeding advice:• Mares: Start feeding 3 months before the foal is born, and during the lactation period. Then switch to a maintenance pellet.• Foals: After the first 6 months (during which Horsefood Foal Starter Pellets are fed), switch to Horsefood Yearling/Mare Pellets until an age of ± 2.5 years.• Then switch to a suitable adult pellet such as the Horsefood Basic Sport Pellets, Condition Pellets, XP-EQ Yeast Pellets, or Performance Pellets.
