ThinLine Flexible Grazing Muzzle

The ThinLine Flexible Grazing Muzzle is designed to be softer, lighter, and less restrictive than traditional grazing muzzles. No heavy, cage-like construction, but a comfortable and flexible muzzle that allows your horse to enjoy grazing without ingesting too much nutrient-rich grass.

The muzzle helps prevent overgrazing and unwanted weight gain, thus supporting your horse's health. At the same time, your horse continues to benefit from exercise, fresh air, and social contact in the pasture. Thanks to its flexible and durable material, the muzzle is gentle on the skin, teeth, and lips. It does not chafe, is lightweight, and well-ventilated, making it easier for horses to accept wearing it. Additionally, it offers UV protection for sensitive noses and works seamlessly with (automatic) water troughs.

For safe grazing, veterinarians recommend a grazing opening of approximately 3.5 to 4 cm for continuous grazing and a smaller opening for severely restricted grass intake. The industry standard is ±3cm.
Therefore, the ThinLine grazing muzzle is available with two options:

• 3.5 cm – normal restriction
• 2.5 cm – high restriction (e.g., for laminitis sensitivity)

For optimal use, we recommend combining the muzzle with a well-fitting breakaway pasture halter. The first adjustment takes about 10 minutes, after which the system is quick and easy to use.
