Horsefood Linseed Ready-to-Use is a ready-to-use linseed product for horses that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, natural vitamins, and prebiotics. It supports healthy digestion, improves gut flora, and ensures a shiny coat and good immunity.
Linseed is naturally rich in valuable fatty acids, but with traditional preparation (such as boiling), these can quickly be lost. Through Horsefood's unique production process, where the linseed is briefly heated under high pressure (135-140 °C), the nutritional value is preserved and the harmful hydrocyanic acid is completely neutralized. The pellets are then carefully dried to prevent oxidation of the fatty acids.
Additionally, inulin has been added as a prebiotic, which supports the lactic acid balance in the large intestine. Thanks to extra vitamin E, natural vitamins A and D, and the rich presence of omega-3 fatty acids, this product contributes to muscle building, immunity, and healthy skin.
Horsefood Linseed Ready-to-Use is given in addition to the daily ration. Because linseed influences digestion and the fat content in the ration, it is important to gradually increase the dosage over one week. Always consider the horse's body weight, size, and condition when feeding.
Daily guideline based on workload:
Maintenance: 10 grams per 100 kg body weight
Light work: 20 grams per 100 kg body weight
Moderate work: 30 grams per 100 kg body weight
Heavy work: 40 grams per 100 kg body weight
Specific guidelines for situations and target groups:
Sport horses: Start feeding at least 30 days before the competition period. Continue daily for optimal support of muscle building, coat, and gut health.
Stallions: Start feeding 60 days before the breeding season to support vitality and condition.
Sales horses: Administer for at least 40-45 days before sale for a healthy appearance and shiny coat.
Foals: 150 grams per day. Temporarily increase to 200 grams per day during weaning.
Broodmares (during lactation): 300 to 500 grams per day, depending on body weight and milk production.
For intestinal problems or underweight:
For horses with disturbed gut flora, poor digestion, or sand accumulation in the intestines, up to 1 kg per day can be given for approximately three weeks. Then switch back to the standard dosage.
